Back in Feb, hip-hop fans were excited to hear that Wu Tang Clan, the legendary New York-based rapper group, were set to headline a brand new music festival by Godzilla Entertainment dubbed Golden Axe Music Festival in May.

However, the latest news is that the festival has now been postponed to an unspecified date, though fans have not been left completely empty-handed. A replacement event, dubbed "The Road to Golden Axe Music Festival," takes place on May 17 featuring a performance from '00s chart-topper Nelly

The American rapper and singer is best known for his hits including "Hot in Herre," "Dilemma" and "Work It," which were top hits on the Billboard charts back in 2000. In 2009, he was ranked No. 3 in Billboard's "Top Artists of the Decade" list.

Nelly will be taking the stage at GMM Live House (8/F, CentralWorld, Rama 1 Rd. BTS Siam/Chitlom) with tickets starting at B1,500, available via Thaiticketmajor.com as of Mar 30. Do note that those who bought a ticket to the main Golden Axe Music Festival are able to attend the Nelly concert for free, while the ticket will still be valid for the festival whenever it happens. Ticket-holder can also get a full refund.

As for Wu Tang Clan, the festival's PR team assure us that "members" of the rap group are still set to headline the main Golden Axe Music Festival, though a new date has yet to be confirmed.
