Bangkok's biggest CrossFit and fitness facility is branching out to a second location. Training Ground, which launched in Phra Kanong in 2014, will open a second facility on 3789 Rama 4 Road in Klong Toie (near BTS Thong Lo) this Mar 27.

Like the original, it takes over a vast warehouse, this time with some 600 sq meters of space (half the size of the Phra Kanong facility). Five-hundred meters will be dedicated to fitness space while the remaining 100 sq meters goest to a lounge and reception area.

With this new branch, Training Ground is looking to expand into the Thai market with the help of its new partner, Prakhun Phornprapha, who helps run Chao Hostel near National Stadium.

Globally, CrossFit is a rapidly growing fitness practice, but Prakhun believes the sport still has potential to expand among the Thai market.

No word on pricing yet, but all-access membership at the Phra Kanong gym costs B4,500/month, while open-gym membership starts at B3,000/month.

Note that the gym will only be in its soft-opening phase from Mar 27, leading up to a grand opening on Apr
