Most probably the only restaurant in town that’s doing Trat cuisine with Isaan touches, Supanniga Eating Room (160/11 Sukhumvit Soi 55 (between Thonglor Sois 6 and 8), Bangkok, 02-714-7508) serves recipes belonging to the owner’s grandma made popular at the boutique resort Supanniga Home in Khon Kaen. Set in a two-story shophouse in the foodie hotbed of Thonglor, diners can expect khao pad namprik pao pla salid (stir-fried rice with leaf fish and chili sauce, B160), gang moo cha muang (red curry with pork and Thai herbal leaf, B170), nam prik kai poo (chili paste with crab egg, B190) and gang pa (jungle curry, B180).
