Nai Lert Park Heritage Home

The century-old home reopens as a museum.

The century-old Nai Lert Park Heritage Home recently opened its doors to the public after two years of renovations.

Situated next to Swissotel Nai Lert Park on the bank of Saen Saeb canal, the house originally belonged to Phraya Bhakdi Noraset—better known as Nai Lert, one of Thailand’s most renowned developers.

Now the open-plan structure serves as a museum, offering a glimpse of traditional Central Thai architecture, with two connected teak houses surrounded by a sizeable balcony and a painstakingly landscaped garden. Inside, there’s an exhibition room dedicated to Nai Lert’s life, along with various business-related and personal collectibles.

The museum opens to the public in the presence of the curator Thu-Fri at 11am, 2pm and 4pm. B500 per person.

If you miss those times, do note there’s also a new Thai restaurant, Ma Maison, set inside the traditional house.
