Bangkok has a dubious reputation when it comes to sex. But if you live here, you also know this city is actually full of genuine sex appeal. Here are the things we think are irresistibly sexy about our city.
Chantawipa Apisuk, 68, is the Director of Empower Foundation, a charity that supports Thailand’s sex workers and also runs This is Us museum in Nonthaburi, a little-known space dedicated to the history of prostitution in Thailand. Ahead of World Women’s Day on Mar 8, BK chats with this Harvard Law School-grad about the by-appointment-only museum and the current state of Thailand’s notorious sex industry.
We got 165 responses to our little sex apps survey. Only one of them identified as a gay woman and three as bisexuals, hence the sad decision we made to leave them out of our graphs entirely. (One had a great story, though, read it below.) Also, note that 70 percent of the respondents were gay men, and the breakdown for the straight respondents is 60 percent male to 40 percent female.
