Ratchaburi transformed by art as part of returning Art Normal festival
Art Normal is back after a four-year absence, featuring contributions from some of Thailand's best-known artists and architects.

After a long absence of four years, Art Normal has returned to the provincial town of Ratchaburi under the theme Toyburi.
In case you have forgotten, Art Normal is an festival invented by Silapatorn award-winning artist and Ratchaburi local Wasinburee Supanichvoraparch that takes over the entire town and fills it with art.
Under the concept of blending art into people’s daily lives, Art Normal 2, which launched at the end of January, takes over everything from public spaces and markets to local shops, restaurants and hair salons.
In additiona, this year sees the creation of 17 special art spaces in collaboration with leading Thai architects such as Duangrit Bunnag (DBALP), Attaporn Kobkongsanti (T.R.O.P.), Nithi Sathapitanon (A49), Vipavee Kunavichayanont (Design for Disaster) and Suriya Ampansirirat (Kyai-Suriya). These will remain as permanent spaces for art after the festival's conclusion.
You can pick up an art map at Tao Hong Tai d Kunst Art Gallery (right next to the river). This Feb 6 there will also be an art walk led by the curators and management which will take you to visit 29 pieces of art around town. The walk takes about three hours.
