NokAir (02-627-2000, www.nokair.com) will soon launch in-flight Wi-Fi for passengers.

The budget airline recently received approval from the telecom committee of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) to offer in-flight Wi-Fi and voice call services.

The launch date is still TBA, but you can expect to hear more soon as the license agreement states NokAir must start offering the services within one year after approval.

According to Nok Air, the services will be available for free in the initial stages after the launch.
