Escape Khao Yai

Late last year, big Thai property developer Sansiri expanded into the hospitality industry with the opening of Escape Hua Hin, the first property under the Escape Sansiri Hotel Collection. This February saw the opening of Escape Khao Yai (044-756-669, www.escape-hotel.com), set amid the greenery on Padsuk-Goodkla Road, 15km from Khao Yai National Park and just a two-hour drive from Bangkok. Consisting of 48 deluxe rooms and six pool villas, Escape Khao Yai offers contemporary designed rooms under four decorative themes: wood, earth, floral and forest. Rates start from about B2,700 for a 25-sq-meter deluxe room and B4,200 for a 45-sq-meter pool villa, including late breakfast until 2pm. While you are there, dine at its Green Oak restaurant, which offers Thai and Western dishes under a farm-to-table concept focusing on the use of healthy ingredients like organic vegetables grown at the resort.
