Lufthansa’s long-haul low-cost airline Eurowings (www.eurowings.com) has finally re-launched to connect travelers between Thailand and Germany. The no-frills carrier’s Airbus A330 offers twice-weekly non-stop flights from the airline’s Cologne base to Bangkok and Phuket.

There are three travel classes: Best, Smart and Basic, the latter of which doesn’t include any checked-in luggage or in-flight services. One-way tickets start at 199 euros for Basic (B7,800)—pretty impressive. After testing out some bookings, though, we found prices can go as high as those from some of the big airlines. From Cologne, you can connect with destinations all around Europe.
