Emirates (www.emirates.com) has been reading your customer complaints. The response to the crying baby, the loud snorer and the chatty vacationers? Forty-square-feet private suites.

The style of each suite pays homage to a classic, Oriental-Express style, here modernized with a 32-inch screen, a camera-equipped tablet and a convertible seat the designers say was inspired by the interior of a Mercedes-Benz.

To further alleviate the cabin fever, Emirates has introduced “virtual windows,” a high-resolution alternative to real windows that capture the image off plane-side cameras. Also at the control of your fingertips is the cabin temperature and ambient lighting.

Flights cost approximately B358,690 round trip from Dubai (DXB) to Brussels (BRU) and to Geneva (GVA).
