The lazy glutton in us is thrilled to hear that A Chef’s Tour (achefstour.com) has just launched in Chiang Mai, offering chef and foodie approved taste treks of the city. They’ll transport you by truck to seven hotspots beloved of locals to taste 17 dishes, such as a smoky bowl of nam ngiaw noodle soup and Northern-style larb. Two experienced guides will provide your group of no more than 10 people with running commentary on the history of each dish. Offered daily, the tour kicks off at 5pm and takes about four hours at a cost of B1,635/person (food included). Just remember to skip lunch.
