We seem to say Burma is hot every few months. With most flights to Yangon booked out well in advance, Air Asia (www.airasia.com) is taking the logical step of introducing a new Bangkok to Mandalay route, flying four times a week, from Oct 4. The former capital, the nation’s second largest city, is the economic hub of northern Burma and is home to historical attractions such as the Mandalay Palace and the scenic Mandalay Hill. Tickets start from B1,500 one-way.
