The longstanding beachfront resort Hua Hin Putahracsa has given its bakery shop a beautiful modern-tropical extension.

Ob Oon Deli Boulangerie & Patisserie (032-531-470, www.oboonhuahin.com) is now a spacious glasshouse, filled with lots of hanging plants, plush sofas and natural light—perfect to while away an afternoon with all-day breakfast items like eggs Benedict (served with English muffin, Parisian ham, spinach and black truffle hollandaise, B250) or a platter of cold cuts and cheese (from B250).

In addition to house-baked breads, the menu also has massive shakes (try the iced banoffee chocolate with flamed meringue or sticky rice and mango flavors, B150), a few modern interpretations of Thai dishes like grilled kurobuta pork moo ping (B240) and and afternoon tea set available for B599/2 guests daily from 2-5pm.

We hear the hotel’s beach club will also be getting a huge upgrade later this year.
