The Canon 5D Mark II heralded a new era for DSLRs on a couple of points: its high ISO capacity borders on night vision and its video looks a lot like a 35mm film camera's. Now that system cameras (like the Sony NEX-7) and even some compact S have caught up on those two points, the brand new 5D Mark III is forced to raise the bar once more. You’ll never need a flash or tripod again (its ISO now goes all the way up to 25,600, expandable to 102,400), but most of the other changes will really only appeal to serious photographers: remote flash control, six frames per second continuous shooting, video time-coding, weather-sealed body and, 61-point autofocus system. Available for B109,900 (body only) at 2/F, Foto File, MBK Center Phayathai Rd., 02-620-9200--that's already nearly 10,000 less than the original Canon list price.
