After several sneak preview images on BlackBerry geeks websites and blogs, Research In Motion (RIM) are now ready to officially introduce its latest phone the BlackBerry Torch 9800.
Basically, it's looks like a fusion version between a BlackBerry Bold and a BlackBerry Storm. That means the Torch comes with a 3.2" touchscreen with its SurePress feature as well as a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The phone also features 5MP camera and it supports GSM and 3G.
Another big selling point is the fact that the Torch will be BlackBerry's first smartphone to run the new BlackBerry OS 6.0, which promises a greater emphasis on the entertainment side of things rather than BB's normal business focus.
The phone will be available from Aug 12 in North America via AT&T. Prices start at US$200. Don't hold your breath for an official release here, but we reckon you'll be able to find one in MBK in a couple of weeks.
