TWG Tea is a Singaporean company with a strong reputation for sourcing the very best teas from all around the world. Their branches’ elegant yet cozy decor in yellow and gold evoke their traditional approach through nostalgic touches of black wood and gold. Along with its teas, TWG Tea also does a fresh, healthy and comforting menu of quick bites, served by knowledgeable staff with a deep tea expertise.

TWG Salad

At TWG Tea, tea gastronomy is important in order to create the perfect dishes suited to each tea blend. Be it mains, desserts or even tiny snacks, the chefs at TWG Tea always incorporate tea in their recipe to bridge food and drink. The smoked salmon (B390) with toasted brioche, for example, is infused with the delicate notes of Earl Grey Gentleman tea; and the  Lobster Timbale served on a bed of avocado bed is accompanied by salad dressing flavored with TWG Tea’s Love Me tea. Brunch-lovers will also want to try the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon or turkey (B280) and the TWG tea salad with foie gras, salmon, shrimp and fresh vegetables (B390). Of course, you can’t go wrong by pairing each dish with the tea used to make it.

Wagyu Burger

For main courses, TWG Tea offers hearty favorites like its wagyu burger (B390), which sees juicy wagyu beef cooked to your liking with a horseradish mayonnaise for a little kick. It comes with Matcha tea-flavored fried and a salad with 1837 Green Tea dressing. Accompanied by earl grey or 1837 black tea, it offers all the decadent flavors of a burger with the refreshing, palate-cleansing quality of good tea. Those looking to order seafood will want to try the Hokkaido scallops (B590), which seas the fresh shellfish smothered with cream sauce which is infused with White Knight tea.

Of course, TWG Tea also excels at high tea specialties with its freshly baked scones (B180/2pieces) served with whipped cream and TWG tea jelly. The flavors of the jelly change each week but the amazing fragrance of tea makes them all worth exploring.

For this Mid-autumn Festival, TWG Tea has a very special set combining the refined art of English high tea, delicate French pastries and two delicious mooncakes. These miniature versions of the seasonal Chinese treat come in two flavor: a more traditional blend (lotus seed filling, almond, hazelnut and macadamia surrounded a salted egg yolk), and a more modern blend (red date filling with almond and earl grey chocolate inside of a red crust).

They go with TWG Tea’s signature Silver Moon tea, a perfectly balanced blend of green tea, berry and vanilla, creating a wonderful taste and sweet aroma that is amazing with almost any dessert. TWG Tea’s chef has also used the same tea in the set’s rich strawberry-flavored macarons, in which the vanilla and berry flavors combine beautifully.

With its trademark wood panelling and yellow tea tins lining the walls, TWG Tea offers an elegant experience any time of the year. But the Silver Moon set (B440) will be available exclusively at TWG Tea’s three restaurants (Paragon, M/F; Emporium, G/F and EmQuartier, M/F) until Sep 15 only. You can also find the Silver Moon macarons (B59 each) at TWG Tea boutiques across Bangkok.
