The 5th Shama Farmer’s Market (39/1 Sukhumvit Soi 2, Bangkok, 02-105-6000) takes place on Aug 19 (9:30am-2:30pm) to help promote sustainable domestic farming and healthy living. On show will be a wide range of organic produce—herbs, fruits and vegetables—from around the country, while market-goers can also catch a cooking demonstration by a chef from the Amari Hotel. If you miss it this time, Shama Sukhumvit Bangkok has committed to hosting the market on the third Sunday of each month.
