Chef Matteo Mettulio at Enoteca

Italy’s youngest Michelin-star chef is coming to Thailand. At just 25 years old, Matteo Metullio is already executive chef of La Siriola in Northern Italy, and has managed to maintain the star gained by his predecessor, Fabio Cucchelli. From Oct 8-11, he’ll be taking over dinner service at Enoteca Italiana, preparing a six-course degustation menu paired with S. Pellegrino & Acqua Panna mineral waters (B3,500). There will also be a Cantina Terlano wine pairing on offer for an additional B1,700.

Chef Heiko Antoniewicz at Elements

On Oct 7-11, Chef Heiko Antoniewicz, who was awarded one star while head chef at Art Manger in Dortmund, Germany, will cook lunch (B1,800) and dinner (B4,800) at Elements. Now the managing director of food consultancy business Antoniewicz GmbH, Chef Heiko tutors other chefs around the world on high-level inventive cooking techniques, and has authored one of the definitive guides on molecular gastronomy, Molecular Basics (2008). His menu will feature Scottish smoked salmon, "essence of heirloom" tomatoes with Brittany lobster, and carrot cake tinged with orange and curry.

Chef Jean Sulpice at La Scala

La Scala at The Sukhothai hotel welcomes Chef Jean Sulpice of the eponymous two-Michelin star restaurant on the Val Thorens mountain, the highest ski resort in the French Alps A specialist in Alpine cuisine, Chef Jean will prepare dinner on Oct 7-11 using fresh imported cheeses, fish, apples and pears. Chef Patrick Jeffroy at Sofitel So

From Oct 16-19, Sofitel So Bangkok is hosting the third edition of its So Amazing Chefs program, featuring a lineup of nine visiting chefs including the two-Michelin-star Patrick Jeffroy of  the eponymous restaurant in L'Hôtel de Carantec, France. The four-day event will feature two-dish cooking classes (B2,400) as well as set dinners highlighted by the eight-course degustation menu on Oct 18, 6-10pm (B7,000/B8,000 with wine pairing) by all of the nine featured chefs. At the So Amazing Chefs Culinary Showdown (B1,900), 6-10pm, Oct 17, all the chefs will pit their culinary talents against one another.
