The Bangkok River group's 10-day River on a Plate festival (Dec 4-13) puts particular focus on wine-pairing dinner deals for couples.

The B2,888 three-course menus offered at Shangri-la’s Angelini, The Peninsula’s Mei Jiang and Asiatique’s Brasserie 9 come with one bottle of Whale’s Tale Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough) 2013, Pinot Noir (Central Otago) 2013 or Malvolti Prosecco Cuvee Brut 75cl. White.

Meanwhile, a B1,888 net tasting menu is available at more casual outlets like Chatrium’s Lobby Lounge, Royal Orchid Sheraton’s Sambal and Anantara Riverside’s Trader Vic’s, to name a few, which comes with Canepa Classico Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 or Chardonnay 2015.

The festival also comprises wine and cheese tastings, talks and demonstrations from celebrity chefs, as well as a farmer’s market on Dec 5-6 at Anantara Riverside. For more information, see www.bangkokriverexperience.com.
