Uno Mas is that rarest of beasts: a hotel restaurant which actually gets Bangkok foodies excited. And its new monthly Sunday brunch only confirms that.

Taking place on the first Sunday of every month, the Sunday Bubbly Brunch (B3,555++) doesn't just feature the usual bounty of lobster, oysters and foie gras, but also some touches we've never seen at a hotel brunch before: tomahawk steak and Cochinillo suckling pig, both charcoal-grilled on a Josper oven. OK, you don't get the whole plate of either, but servers come round with both regularly, along with plenty of other little Spanish-leaning nibbles like jamon croquettes.

You also get a free-flow proper Champagne—G.H. Mumm, no less—which weirdly they don't mention anywhere in the marketing material (something to do with a crackdown on alcohol promotion laws). On top of that, there's free-flow Spanish Rioja, sangria, cava, Bloody Mary, daiquiri and margarita.

Other higlights include 36-month-cured Joselito ham—self-described as the best Iberian ham in the world and usually B790 a plate—as well as a selection of ceviche, squid-ink paella, choarcal-grilled tenderloin steak and proper pasteurized cheeses.

Uno Mas is the 54th-floor restaurant at Centara Grand hotel which took the place of the defunct Fifty-Five steakhouse. On top of this monthly Sunday brunch, the weekly Saturday tapas brunch at B999++ carries on as normal.

Uno Mas, 54/F, Centara Grand at CentralWorld, 02-100-6255. 11:30am-14:30pm
