Pastry mastermind Jason Licker (currently of Ce La Vi Hong Kong; formerly head of the sweet kitchen at Ku De Ta Bangkok) has just launched his very first cookbook.

Called Lickerland, the thick hardcover book packs 56 recipes of his Asian-accented desserts, including the infamous chocolate fondant-inspired matcha tart, the vanilla udon with strawberry consomme, and the banana and dulce de leche harumaki, all illustrated by images courtesy of photographer Jason Lang.

Inspired by chef Licker’s stints through Asian’s capitals like Shanghai, Macau and Hong Kong, his creations blend the continent’s vibrant flavors with classic French techniques.

Though the chef has already left our shores, his first cookbook was laid out by a Bangkok-based team and printed here. Hence, the book is now only available to pick up in Bangkok at Little Market (1056 Charoenkrung Soi 28, 061-558-7689) at B1,800 and online through www.jasonlicker.com.
