This Sunday (Feb 26), Sukhumvit Soi 47's Australian restaurant Freebird opens up its backyard for its first garden party.

Starting from noon and continuing till late, the party will take the form of a laid-back barbecue with dishes like barbecue chicken, grilled prawns, fried chicken wings, grilled squid and roast pork belly, all cooked up by chef Dallas Cuddy (B790 per person).

Another B1,210 gets you the free-flow beverage package covering wine, beer, cocktails and mocktails, while there will also be a lawn bowls tournament and live DJ sets Karl Andy and Mr. Jim.

Freebird was one of Bangkok's biggest restaurant openings of 2016. Chic yet relaxed, on-trend yet original, the restaurant sits in a mid-century modern house and introduced the city to what it calls modern Australian cuisine—that is, a blend of Western and Asian cooking methods and umami-packed ingredients.
