To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Central department stores, Central Chidlom’s FoodLoft is throwing a huge, floral extravaganza.
This Nov 16-20, the leading food hall will be in full bloom with an eye-pleasing arrangement of orchids, to complement a delicious new range of icy treats flavored with flower blossoms.
Dasada will bring several varieties of beautiful orchids that you can buy in elegant bouquets complete with full flower decorations by Central.
Those who’ve got a sweet tooth, pass through the flower walkthrough and head inside for a scoop or two of fancy ice cream from Dasada Gallery inspired by the colors of these stunning flowers.
From the refreshing hydrangea mint blueberry, to the sweet yet earthy sunflower, these delicious flavors were made to beat the Bangkok heat. There’s also a creamy chocolate anthurium, aromatic sorbet calandiva lychee berry, and the Instagram-worthy white choc with small pink dots of phalaenopsis orchid.
Other floral snacks include the crispy seasonal flower tempura of pumpkin blossoms, butterfly pea, pang pang flowers and med bua flowers from Kobori restaurant, where you can also fill up on fresh sashimi.
Moreover, At Hadyai, inside the Guest Gourmet Corner Zone, is touting fried shrimp with garlic and sesbania with a side of rice, and kanomjeen with fried soft shell crab with Southern-style spicy curry.
