Melding the complex flavors of Thai street food with regional delicacies, Eathai at Central Embassy unveils its new “Floral Flavors” menu through Nov 16-20, which takes things a step beyond your ordinary gastronomic offering—creating a range of dishes inspired by the scents and tastes of flowers.

Chef Poonsub Jetleela, aka “Aunty Jai”, worked her magic to create a line-up of can’t-miss treats, like kanom kluay dok sa nor (steamed banana cake with sesbania flower), jui guay dokmai (steamed rice cake with flowers) and miangkum dok mai (betel leaf wrap with Thai-style condiments and flowers).

Furthermore, try the kanomjeen namprik (fermented dried rice noodles colored with flower-based ingredients) or the somtam dokmai. There is also sticky rice with chicken and shrimp paste with a sprinkle of petals on top.

Don't miss out the rare traditional Thai appetizers on offer, either. Dig in to some delicate handmade chor muang sai pla (a dish stuffed with ground fish with colors extracted from blue butterfly peas and molded into a flower shape) or chor mali sai gai (a dish stuffed with chicken with colors extracted from jasmine and molded into a flower shape).

The event features a range of other fun activities and workshops to get the most out of the flower madness. Try your hand at the floral fortune stick, take a watercolor art workshop using flower extracts and make your very own perfume with flower scents. You can also buy a range of fresh flowers provided by Dasada Gallery.

If you can't make it, grab some of these delicacies via delivery using the Eathai delivery service (0 2160 5995), Line (@eathaibycentral), Foodpanda or LINE MAN.

See you on Nov 16-20 for a marvelous food event at Eathai and Eathai Cafe of LG level at Central Embassy.
