The landscape of Bangkok’s chef world is seeing some seismic shifts. In a surprising move, Prin Polsuk, Executive Chef of Nahm, has left his position and to take over the kitchen at a new restaurant coming to the Bangkok Edition Hotel.

Chef Prin started his career at 30 years old at the Mandarin Oriental’s Sala Rim Naam before being poached by Nahm’s founder, David Thompson.

After three years at London’s Michelin-starred Nahm, Prin returned to take the helm at Bangkok’s Nahm, which is a regular fixture in our Top Tables top 10, has made the top ten in the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, placed in World's 50 Best Restaurants and last year acquired its first Michelin star.

From what we know, the Bangkok Edition restaurant, inside the MahaNakhon tower, will be twice the size of Nahm and focus on traditional Thai fine-dining. According to a public Facebook post, Prin is currently recruiting a kitchen team.

The question now: who will take the reins at Nahm?
