Chef Alessandro Boglione runs Al Castello, a restaurant in Italy’s Piedmont region which has kept hold of a Michelin star for the past six years thanks to its contemporary take on Piedmont-Mediterranean cuisine that says no to butter and only uses olive oil instead.

He’ll be in Bangkok to cook at Sukhumvit’s Enoteca Italiana from Sep 14-17. We’ve seen the five-course menu and can tell you it goes big on red meats, game and truffle, while there’s also a full seafood-only version. Both cost B3,500++ or B5,000++ with wine pairing.

If you don’t know Enoteca, then you should. It sits tucked down Sukhumvit Soi 27 and has been dishing out some of the most ambitious yet still comforting Italian food in Bangkok since 2004. Alessandro Boglione will be cooking for dinner only, 6-10pm.
