Le Du

Ranking in 9th in BK Magazine’s Top Tables guide this year, this modern Thai restaurant powered by young chef Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn is one of the best in town. With a name that translates to “Seasons” in Thai, the restaurant focuses on seasonal produce to prevent using ingredients that are genetically modified or chemically induced. Instead, produce is sourced from local farmers from around the country and cooked to perfection.
399/3 Silom Soi 7, 092-919-9969. Open Mon-Sat 6-11pm

Bo.Lan

This restaurant, run by chef-owners Duangporn Songvisava and Dylan Jones, aims to be Bangkok’s first zero-waste restaurant by growing their own vegetables on site and installing systems for recycling organic waste and purifying graywater. Bo.lan’s menu changes quarterly based on the freshest seasonal produce both from local farmers and grown on site.

Oyster Bar

If you’re looking for sustainable seafood, look no further than this oyster joint run by seafood importer Bill Marinelli, who handpicks produce that’s then imported twice weekly from Canada and the U.S. The menu focuses on ultimate freshness and bans farmed fish at all costs, meaning what’s on offer depends on the best quality finds that the chef can get his hands on. On top of their signature oysters, you’ll also find mollusks, catchfish, lobsters and snowcrab.
395 Narathiwat Ratchanakarin Soi 24, 02-212-4809. Open Mon-Sat 6-11pm; Sun noon-2:30pm, 5:30-10pm

Quince

Those looking for a good meaty meal without feeling too guilty should head to this restaurant, where the chef prioritizes selecting the right farmers, growers and producers that treat their animals well and grow their crops sustainably.
