After parting ways with Sapparot group (Lady Brett, Rocket) last year, chef Jess Barnes has largely disappeared from Bangkok food circles. But this Feb 24-25 the hipster food pioneer's back popping up in the kitchen at Sathorn's Sorrento

Here, there'll be no bao buns in sight. Instead, the chef will be getting back to his Italian cooking roots. Going back well before his Opposite Mess Hall became the stuff of Bangkok legend, Barnes kickstarted his culinary career at InterContinental’s defunct Grossi restaurant, where he worked for over seven years.

For two nights only the chef will whip up dishes like pesce crudo, strozzapreti rabbit nduja, crab ravioli and campari granita, all available to order a la carte.
