La Creperie

Sukhumvit Soi 39's crepe house has branched out to Siam Paragon, bringing not just sweet and savory crepes but also other French comfort food to match its Parisien apartment decor. Here you'll find the likes of escargot (garlic-butter snails, B450), tuna steak served with ratatouille and sweet potato chips (B390) and a selection of pies as well as grilled sole fish in brown butter (B490) and chicken basquaise (B270). Of course, the much-loved varieties of buckwheat savory crepes (from B190) and their sister sweet crepes (from B140) are also the stars. Wash it down the French way with apple cider (from B290) or sip some affordable wine (from B250).

Milch

Japan-born Milch sells nothing but the brand's specialty cheese cups (B75/cup or B414/box of six cups—limited to two boxes per person). What’s in the red cup is reminiscent of a Japanese-style cheesecake, only with a more cake-like bottom layer and more gooey topping. No surprise, then, that the treats have a tendency to sell out early. Thankfully there’s no crazy line here as they have a sophisticated numbering system, but you should still expect a wait for the baked goodies, which are prepared on-site.

Gokoku

The Osaka-hailing dessert brand proudly presents its light and fluffy fresh cream whipped from Hokkaido milk. It appears in the star cream roll (from B165/piece) with soft cake made from France-imported flour as well as in the middle of the fluffy chiffon cube (B165). The real highlight is the heavenly soft daifuku, filled with cream, white bean paste, a layer of cake and your choice of strawberry or melon (B165). You can also get them prettily-plated with fresh fruits and ice cream (from B195). Wash it down with their special English tea (B105).

Kang Ban Phe

Bangkok's second branch of this Rayong-hailing seafood specialist sits on the fourth floor of Siam Center. Out front sits a noodle station, where you can see the signature mantis shrimp tomyum noodles (B175) in the making. On top of that, there are also several dishes revolving around mantis shrimp, like fried rice with seafood sauce (B149), pad Thai (B149) and fried mantis shrimps with garlic (B278).

Poff

The team behind Audrey restaurant group has launched a new pancake cafe. But it’s not about your familiar American or Japanese style pancakes. Poff takes its name from mini “poffertje” pancakes, a light and spongy kind traditional to Dutch cuisine. Here they serve them both savory and sweet, with classic sugar powder (B60), cheddar cheese and crispy bacon (B135), and many more flavors. You can also opt for the filled variety: cheesy lava charcoal pancake (B125) or stretchy mozzarella (B125). Our pick has to be Nutella on the Rock (with Nutella, crumbles, marshmallow and nuts, B135). They also offer the likes of apple cider soda drinks (B75).

Me box

Between Siam Discovery and Siam Center is this pop-up glasshouse decked out stylishly all in white. Seafood specialist Lobster and Oyster takes care of the kitchen, serving the likes of poached lobster (B775 for half; B1,550 for whole) and a roast seafood platter (B950) which features lobster tails, mussels, clams, prawns and sausage with a spicy sauce. They also offer a selection of fresh oysters (from B105/piece). Try the French royale cabanon (B175), which is exclusively imported for this outlet. Rocket Coffeebar takes care of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Try the Me Box Affogato (a shot of espresso with coconut ice cream and chocolate ganache, B150).

Me bar

The new pop-up chocolate bar on the ground floor of Siam Discovery offers seriously good drinks and treats. Running through January next year, Mercedes-Benz's Chocolate Bar is set up by the chef behind Amatissimo Caffe, Piriyarat Jirasinkitti. Here, he gathers some of the world's very best chocolates from names like Valrhona, Cacao Barry and Ghirardelli to make drinks like "Thick," (B180), a whipped cream-topped hot chocolate featuring 100-percent single-origin chocolate; chocolate soda (orange-infused cold chocolate topped with soda, B150) and the photogenic hot frozen chocolate (liquid nitrogen-solidified melted dark chocolate with whipped cream, croissant chips and toppings, B180/B480). Do also try the marshmallow (B100) wrapped around chocolate ganache—an indulgent snack.  The store also showcases a variety of chocolate bars and buttons which you can select and have added to the items of your choice.
