BANGKOK RESTAURANT

Sweetery

Maximalist Aussie-inspired desserts from the chef behind Tinee Eatery.

Bangkok locals love a good dessert, and this sweet-spot-hitting new restaurant is currently the hottest spot in town for cheesecake, ice cream, souffles, French toast and more. The space itself is all blacks and bold accent colors, while the kitchen rolls out maximalist Aussie-inspired desserts. Decadent highlights include the Dark S'more (chocolate cookie baked a la minute on a hot skillet and topped with housemade marshmallow, chocolate sauce, toasted hazelnuts and Oreo-vanilla bean ice cream) and various 160ml drinks served in glass jars with Cacao Barry chocolate-coated rim, topped with whipped cream.

Forget your slow-life high tea and go wild with the massive guilty pleasures at chef Sutinee Suntivatana's (of Tinee Eatery) latest opening. Currently in its soft opening, the small dessert shop on the third floor of Thonglor's new food mall is decorated in funky black and bold colors.

The large open preparation counter rolls out maximalist Aussie-inspired desserts including some favorites from Tinee Eatery like Dark S'more (chocolate cookie baked a la minute on a hot skillet and topped with housemade marshmallow, chocolate sauce, toasted hazelnuts and Oreo-vanilla bean ice cream, B195) and French toast made with brioche produced in-house at the Town in Town kitchen.

Other decadent highlights include the upside-down soft-serve cones dubbed Soft and Splash, piled with a variety of toppings, and the various 160ml drinks  (B195) served in glass jars with Cacao Barry chocolate-coated rim, topped with whipped cream—try the StrawberryFunky (strawberry lemonade, whipped cream, fresh strawberry, meringue and a slice of cheesecake).
