BANGKOK RESTAURANT

El Chiringuito

This shop-house bar is one of a new breed of Chinatown bar attracting Bangkok's young and hip. There's a charming retro ambience courtesy of reclaimed wooden furniture, classic sewing tables, old posters and an adorable chalkboard menu displaying Spanish tapas drawn from the owner's six years living in Spain. Try the tortilla de patatas (omelet), patatas bravas (fried potatoes) and bocadillos (sandwiches), all washed down with a Spanish Xoriguer gin.

An old shophouse in Yaowarat has been renovated into a tapas bar, El Chiringuito.

Just properly opened at the start of February, the new venue boasts a charming retro ambience courtesy of reclaimed wooden furniture, classic sewing tables, old posters and an adorable chalkboard menu.

Owned by Supapron Sae, who lived in Spain for six years, the kitchen rolls out dishes like tortilla de patatas (omelet, B220), patatas bravas (fried potatoes) and bocadillos (sandwiches).

Do check their opening times as they’re still only in their soft opening period.
