BANGKOK RESTAURANT

Charley Brown’s

Sukhumvit Soi 11's Mexican fave finds a new home.

At this former Suk 11 stalwart's latest home in Asoke, the decor’s as vibrant as always, while the menu’s packed with Tex-Mex favorites. As this is perhaps the only place in town that uses Maseca corn flour for its tortillas along with a traditional cast iron press, you'll want to try the chicken taquitos: amazing rolled tacos filled with spicy, pulled chicken deep-fried until crisp. Order some guacamole for dipping and a passion-fruit margarita for good measure.

Following the closure of Mexican institution Charley Brown’s home on Sukhumvit Soi 11’s pre-drinking strip, the restaurant has opened afresh in the Asoke area. Tucked inside a sub-soi on Sukhumvit Soi 19, the new space still retains its signature outdoor terrace where guests can enjoy staples like tacos (B90-110), quesadillas (B150-200) and fajitas (B410). Through the wide-windowed facade you’ll find a vibrant interior with a beer can chandelier. At just B100, the passion-fruit margaritas are also delicious.
