Malfy Gin’s eye-popping yellow and aqua-tinted bottle hints at the citrus-led spirit within.

This 40-year-old family company makes its gin in Italy’s Piedmont region, adding to the juniper pressed Amalfi lemon peel. You can now taste the result—a light and crisp, limoncello-like gin made for a zesty spin on a G&T—in Bangkok, courtesy of Italy-loving booze importers PacBev.

Find it in supermarkets like Central Food Hall and Central Gourmet Market by April, retailing for around B1,000 a pop (pitting it against Bombay and Tanqueray) and in bars like Teens of Thailand (76 Soi Nana, Charoenkrung Rd., 081-443-3784), Just A Drink Maybe (44/3 Thonglor Soi 1, 02-023-7285) and Vesper (10/15 Convent Rd., 02-235-2777), where it’ll launch with a party on Apr 3 from 6:30pm.

Vesper mixologist Palm Muttaratana will create and serve five pre-Songkran cocktails made with Malfy Gin, accompanied by DJ Rabbitdisco on the turntables.
