Give it a swirl.

After bringing us Brooklyn trio Vivian Girls back in July, WTF (7 Sukhumvit Soi 51, 02-662-6246. www.wtfbangkok.com) continues its tradition of getting vacationing bands to play us free gigs right here in the kingdom. Just last week we had the pleasure of catching British indie troubadour Justin Grounds (www.justingrounds.com), whose electric violin heavy music reminds us of Andrew Bird, Owen Pallet and even Damien Rice. A one-man band, the dude can even beatbox! Despite being a last minute impromptu affair, the venue was packed with a mix of expats and a few curious locals. So, again, big props to the folks at WTF for continuing to spice up our live music scene. Watch this space for news on the upcoming gigs.
