Thai Film Archive and Thai Film Foundation hold the 18th annual Thai Short Film and Video Festival showcasing submitted works from contestants nationwide in different categories from Aug 28 to Sep 7 at the auditorium on the fifth floor of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). There will be an awards ceremony on Sep 7 commencing at 5pm.

MENSTRUAL SYNCHRONY

(2014, 30 min)

The work by Jirassaya Wongsutin, who has won several short film competitions, follows two girl friends Goy and Lee whose menstrual periods always come at the same time, until now.

HULA HOOP

(2013, 13 min)

This short by Taew Rewadee follows two sisters, one of whom goes on a diet in the hope of securing a film role from an upcoming audition.

(2014, 18 min)

One of the most hyped works from the recent 18th Short Film Marathon, this thesis short film is the work of recent graduate Atom Tinnawat from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.
