Make your lunch destination a healthy one

Bangkok has welcomed a huge array of health cafes lately, so there’s no excuse for you to avoid one on your lunch break. The newest addition to the list is Patom, a healthy-living oasis all about certified organic ingredients sourced from the Sampran network of farmers, meaning fresh fruits and vegetables feature in lunch boxes, salads and even skincare products. Otherwise, opt for the classic Brekkie, whose menu is filled with Ingredients like quinoa, avocado, spirulina, flaxseed, acai berry and chia seeds.

Or pick it up from these healthy grab-and-go spots

Just because you only have half an hour until that meeting doesn’t mean you can’t have a healthy lunch. If you’re in the Sathorn area, stop by Farm Factory to grab a pre-designed salad bowl that combines plenty of greens with your choice of lean meat. Mix and Munch does a similar concept for Sukhumvit workers, where you can easily handpick your protein, carb, vegetable and sauce for a lunchbox to go.

De-stress with a quick trip to the onsen

There’s nothing like a midday detox session to get you energized for the afternoon. At Let’s Relax Onsen and Spa Thonglor, you can wash your troubles away in your choice of spring-water bath, whether it's water from Japan's renowned Gero hot springs (42 degrees Celsius), a milky-textured silk bath (40 degrees), a soda bath (38 degrees) or standup whirlpool bath (36 degrees), before cooling off in the cold bath (a bracing 18 degrees). Take as much or as little time as you need.

Squeeze in a relaxing spa session to work off those stress points

Not all trips to the spa have to take up half your day. In fact, at the Okura Spa, you can grab a 45-minute massage called the “Self-Centered,” which aims to relieve work-related tension. Meanwhile, The Spa Studio at Mandarin Oriental specializes on short treatments of 20-45 minutes that you can squeeze into a lunch break. The 45-minute Express massage costs B1,500.
