The SAE Institute Bangkok teams up with Dutch martial artist and stuntman Ron Smoorenburg to host the Action Film Workshop: Fight Scenes and Stunts for Directors on Jul 7. An expert in free fighting and karate, Smoorenberg’s long list of film credits include the final fight scene in Jackie Chan’s Who Am I? (1998), which was recognized with a Hong Kong Film Award, and working with Thai action star Tony Jaa in Tom Yum Goong (2006). The one-day workshop will give an overview of various shooting styles and techniques to maximize impact, and provide tips on editing fight scenes. It’s a free event but seats are limited.
