It's now been officially confirmed that the American alternative rock band Foo Fighters will be taking on the stage at Impact Challenger Hall 2 (Muang Thong Thani, 99 Popular Rd.) this Aug 24.

Tickets go on sale this May 22 through Thaiticketmajor, with prices ranging from B2,500-6,500 for sit-down tickets and B5,000-6,000 for standing tickets.

Last month, concert organizers Godzillionare Entertainment confirmed that the American alternative rock band were heading to Bangkok, though details on the date, venue and ticket prices were not announced.

Founded in Seattle in 1994 by ex-Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters have won four Grammy awards and have sold 30 million copies of their albums, including Sonic HighwaysWasting Light and In Your Honor. Some of their biggest hits include "Everlong," "Best of You" and "The Pretender."

The alternative rock band—whose other present members are Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Taylor Hawkins and Chris Shiflett—announced back in November 2015 that they were going on an indefinite hiatus.

However, now they're primed to make their first appearance in Bangkok since 1996 when they took to the stage at Indoor Stadium Huamark with the Beastie Boys and Sonic Youth.
