Launching this Oct 31, VolksKraft Art & Craft Market is a new tri-monthly event offering a real taste of the slow life.

Aimed at connecting small-scale local craft enterprises with an urban audience, the debut event at Aree Garden will feature over 20 shops of local craft and related social enterprises.

Other highlights will include a "shibori" tie-dye workshop with natural dyes, a workshop on hand-crafting accessories from fabric and a discussion (in Thai) on the theme of "Thai Local Textiles as a Lifestyle Choice" featuring SEA Write Award-winning poet and national artist Naowarat Pongpaiboon plus other figures in Thai craft circles.  

Expect shops from the likes of Go Went Gone, FolkCharm Crafts, Bhukram and POET.
