American indie-rock trio Yo La Tengo will perform in Bangkok this Dec 4. Gig organizers Have You Heard? made the announcement on their Facebook page overnight after previously posting a cryptic teaser poster. 

The show will take place in Voice Space (BBD Building, 197 Viphavadi Rangsit Rd.) as the fourth edition of the Singha Light Live Series that has already brought us names including Of Montreal and The Radio Dept. this year. Tickets are on sale from Aug 31 for B1,500 at Ticketmelon (B1,700 on the door).

Formed in New Jersey in 1984, Yo La Tengo have put out 14 studio albums combining folk, shoegaze, mellow surf-rock and electronic sounds, including the critically adored I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One (1997) and And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out (2000).

The band are also known for the covers of legendary bands such as The Beach Boys, The Velvet Underground, The Cure, The Stooges and The Who. 

In more good news, Have You Heard? have hinted there will be one more big announcement before the end of the year.
