TKO Thai/Korea/Odyssey Exhibition

Thai street artist collective D.O.B., comprising P7, CHIP7, NEV3R, ZIDS and RUKIIT, come together with Korean artist group Goo for Brothers, including Beck Jaejung, Oh Seungchul and Lee Hong Min, for this cross-cultural group exhibition showcasing paintings on different media, which draw inspiration from and reinterpreti Thai and Korean literature. Opening reception on Sep 19, 5pm, with Thai/Korean talk.

Exploring reality in fiction, this talk and screening series screens The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2012) by Mira Nair, which adapts Mohsin Hamid's novel of the same name, which is made entirely of a monologue of a successful Pakistani living in the United States before and after the 9/11 event. Screening starts at 2pm and is followed by a conversation with Phrae Chittiphalangsri from Chulalongkorn University (4:30pm). Film is in English. Talk is in Thai.

Wilderness Within

This group exhibition at Jam displays illustrations and paintings by Meisan Mui, Tossaporn Tanadeerojkul, Anmom and Chatchanok Wongvachara under the theme of the remnants of nature and human instinct amid Bangkok's concrete jungle. Curated by Jamie Cunningham. Opening reception on Sep 20, 7pm with Lamai Thai open bar 8-9pm and music by DJ Panlert (Dudesweet).

Democrazy Theatre and Anatta Theatre Troupe restage a new play by Pradit Prasartthong, which draws inspiration from the dramatic life of Lady Poonsook Panomyok, the wife of Thailand's first prime minister Preedee Panomyong and the turbulence of a society forced to face up to political revolution.
