The iconic 49-story abandoned Sathorn Unique building near Saphan Taksin BTS station will be aglow with about 200,000 watts of light this Thursday about 8.30pm, symbolizing it as a monument to human folly and the denial of impending death. Some of the best spots to view include the south side of Taksin Bridge, Saphan Taksin BTS station, Wat Yannawa's parking lot and Bridge Art Space's rooftop. More here.

A day of slow-living is happening at Makkasan Airport Link Station this Saturday with activities and market stalls selling food and crafts, art and live music by Jelly Rocket, Part Time Musicians, Basement Tape, Lula and Soul After Six. Confirmed vendors include Beervana, Chef Ben from Issaya Cooking Studio and Salt. Also expect workshops such as postcard painting.
