ART: Inside The Machine

A group exhibition that features Parinot Kunakornwong's edited loop footage from Thai soap operas inside a washing machine, and Etienne Luque's experimental images created with broken machines. Curated by Julie Camdessus. Opens Jul 3 at 7pm.

MARKETS: Artbox BKK EP. 2 Let the Line Guide your Feeling

After the controversial move to postpone the market last month, the huge outdoor event hopes to avoid the rain with its second episode, to take place from 3pm-midnight. All the booths will still be organized inside real shipping containers. 300 stalls in the fashion zone and over 100 stalls in the food and cafe zone, plus live music by local bands. Also expect a HOBS pop-up beer garden on-site.

The official DJ of the Hard Core Dior parties, and founder of Drop (Hong Kong), plays classic disco and early house music, with local support by resident DJ Maarten Goetheer at Vogue Lounge, Mahanakhon Cube. For a taste of the Thonglor nightlife scene, head over to Badmotel on Jul 3 for the SuperrZaaap! 7th Year Anniversary Mega Hits! Party. The first floor will turn into a Thai ‘90s waikanong nightclub featuring DJs Scoobydoo and YP, while the music up on the second-floor High Voltage Pop-Up Club will be provided by Japanese guest DJ Monkey Timers and the crew’s resident DJs.

NIGHTLIFE: Red Bull Thre3Style Thailand 2015

After a long search for the best DJ talents in town, the final round of Thailand’s Red Bull Thre3Style 2015 will
take place this Saturday, Jul 4. Route 66 will be the stage as selected DJs Spydamonkee, Dragon, Maiam, Nutty, Tnt, Bomber Selecta, Zlexii and Jedie battle it out for the title of champion over 15-minute sets that must incorporate at least three musical genres. The national champions will compete at the world finals later this year. Entry is B300, and doors open at 8:30pm.

CONCERTS: Pow! Fest

Parinam Music's first official mini-music festival Pow! Fest takes over Live House BKK this Jul 4, kicking off at 3:30pm. Organized by live music organizer Seen Scene Space, the stage will be packed with local indie acts to watch like Gym & Swim, Slur, Summer Dress, Seal Pillow, Aire, Hariguem Zaboy, Wave and So, Fwends and Safe Planet, plus a set by Japanese act The Fin. TGIF Market makes a return at one of the newest popup venues, Quartier Hall at the EmQuartier this Jul 4-5 under the theme Checkmate. Expect over 200 stalls of leading fashion brands like Isawan, Something Boudoir, Mimi by Milin (pictured), Mywishlist and multi-brand pop-ups like Fablab and SOS. You’ve also got plenty of trendy food options close by at Helix Quartier.

The Gift of Life Foundation and Sala Sudarisi Sobha present a jazz concert in celebration of HRH Crown Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's 60th Birthday, featuring the talented jazz vocalist, who'll be perrforming all the arrangements by the princess.
