ART: Never Never Land 

From Apr 28-30, WTF Bar and Gallery celebrates its seventh anniversary with the three-day What the Festival 2017 under the foreboding theme of Never Never Land, "an imagined community or society that is capable of making its citizens happy." On Friday, join the poetry reading by Bangkok Poetry group, hosted by Wesley Hsu, one of the bar's original founders. Saturday, artists like Sakarin Krue-on and Kathy MacLeod will present their visions of dystopia, in the form of artworks inspired by what would happen if a fundamental element of their worlds disappeared (on view until Jun 20). The bar will also be pouring special cocktails made using local ingredients, with an open bar from 7-9pm. Of course, there'll be a block party on the final day. The third annual film festival showcasing 23 of the best independent films from 10 Asian countries. ART: Grey Area

Indonesian photographer Angki Purbandono presents a series of images he captured during his imprisonment in 2012-2013, inspired by community relationships within a limited space. The images are creatively created from a scanner, as a camera was prohibited.

ART: Endurance

Spanish photographer Omar Havana presents a series of photographs capturing the stories of people who were victims of the 2015 7.8 magnitude earthquake that devastated Nepal.  The author will also be be selling the series in a photo book format during the exhibition, with all proceeds from the book will be donated to projects benefiting the reconstruction of the country.

ART: Defendant of Love
