3. NIGHTLIFE >> Skream & Benga. A special gig from British DJs Skream and Benga, member of dubstep pioneer trio Magnetic Man. Jan 12.

4. MUSIC >> Naked and Famous. This Auckland indie rock group drop by Bangkok with their debut studio abum Passive Me, Aggressive You, which received internationally recognition after their gig at the Glastonbury Music Festival. Jan 17.

5. FESTIVAL >> Chinese New Year. Head to Yaowarat to usher in the Year of the Dragon and enjoy food, festivities and performances. Jan 22.

6. MUSIC >> Orn& May-T Project. Finally, the debut concert from this special collaboration from Moderndog's guitarist May-T Noijinda and Bangkok grunge queen Ornaree Chularatana is set to perfrom on Jan 24.  

7. MUSIC >> Silverlake Music Festival. The biggest music event this month belongs to the Siverlake Music Festival, which will feature a long lineup of international and local bands, including the American rock band Incubus. Jan 28.

8. MUSIC >> Black Lips. This flower punk band from Atlanta, Georgia is set to make their debut gig with wild on-stage antics and their hit singles like “Bad Kids” and “Modern Art.” Opening band is Happy Band and Noah's Tape. Jan 28.

9. MUSIC >> Palmy Concert. After her latest album Beautiful Ride released in 2007, Plamy is back with a slight change (in a good way) in direction in this 5th studio album Palmy 5. Jan 28-29.

10. SHOP >> Chatuchak. With the cooler weather, this is the perfect month to shop at the weekend market. Buy this. Eat this.
