  • Be On the Lookout For New Drugs 'Bath Salts'

Officials are on the lookout for any sign of a new synthetic drug known as “bath salts,” which has been blamed for a spate of zombie-like attacks, entering Thailand. The drug, said to have similar effects to cocaine or methamphetamine, is often packaged to look like actual bath salts. While users initially experience euphoria, this later gives way to psychotic episodes, paranoia and aggression. In a gruesome case in Miami last month, a suspected user was shot dead by police while trying to bite off the face of a homeless man. Thankfully, the Office of the Narcotics Control Board says there have been no reports of the drug being used or sold in Thailand as yet, and while the drug was recently banned in the USA and Britain, some argue all the hysteria is just the latest bandwagon of the brainless. But to be safe, you might want to skip the next zombie-themed event and just take a long, hot soak, instead.
