A Thai toy modeler who goes by the name Tabun Lee has made a series of dolls that place Thailand's unelected Prime Minister in the role of manga characters.

One, called General of North Star, sees General Prayuth reimagined as Kenshiro from the comic series Fist of the North Star.

Another, simply titled "The Dictator", features him in a green army uniform.

The figures sell for B750 each through Tabun Lee's Facebook page.

Feedback from Facebook users has been widely positive, with many commenting, "I want one!" Others have applauded the modeler's bravery while rushing to pre-order the toy.

Lee has also made a line of Sukhumbhand dolls, turning Bangkok's governer into an action figure dubbed "Doi Man." Here though, Facebook commenters were quick to point out that the doll didn't quite capture our governor's rosy-cheeked complexion.
