Five Thai directors, including the Palme d’Or-winning Apichatpong Weerasethakul, are crowdfunding their latest project dubbed Ten Years in Thailand.

As well as Apichatpong, Tears of the Black Tiger director Wisit Sasanatieng,  Road to Mandalay producer Aditya Assarat,  Love in Siam director Chookiat Sakveerakul and Hua Lam Pong director Chulayarnnon Siriphol have begun a campaign to reach US$200,000 bu Jul 2.  

The film aims combine various short films which each imagine the future of Thailand in 10 years time, as a reflection of the current state of uncertainty that the country is in. It will continue the worek of Hong Kong director Ng Ka Leung, whose 2015 film Ten Years set the same task to five Hong Kong directors. 

 So far, the project has gathered US$1,400 towards its goal. Those who want to pitch in can do so here. The film aims to reach cinemas by the end of the year if it meets its target.
