Alice’s Rustic Seafood

The second branch of Siam Signature (the original is in Ari) offers up ice drip coffee, a process which requires some patience but is totally worth it--sweeter and less sour than regular cups. If you’re not into the slow-drip stuff, try the regular espresso options or a strawberry smoothie (B40) along with homemade low fat cupcakes with flavors like matoom (bael, B60) and carrot (B85) or try the mango swirl cheese cake (B85).

Phuk Yar

Good news for vegetarians and veggie lovers, the simple-looking Phuk Yar offers up all sorts of Thai vegetarian dishes. Some of the dishes include laab hed (spicy shiitake salad in Northeastern style, B89) and guay tiew haeng (stir-fried noodle with vegetables, B69)—all are guaranteed to contain no MSG. The drinks are also health-conscious, too, with no synthetic sugar added and sweetened by honey only. Try the avocado smoothie (B80) which comes with choices of mango or apple.

Yukari Restaurant

As if you there weren't enough Japanese shabu buffets, here's a new one to try. Yukari tries to draw in the crowds with its decent price of B359, which includes beef, seafood and pork shabu. The place boasts some cute illustrations on its walls and there are also a la carte dishes like the rice bowl topped with sukiyaki meat (B149) for those in the area looking for a casual spot around lunch time.
