Through Jul 10, Central Embassy welcomes the work of Greek Ambassador of Thailand, H.E Pericles Boutos, in a photography exhibition dubbed “Fire/Regeneration, A Photographic Diary, 2007-2008.”

The exhibition features a series of dramatic photographs captured by the Ambassador himself during 2007 when Greece was hit by a huge number of fires throughout the country. Every week for a year, the Ambassador traveled to document the devastated lands around the country in order the capture the damaged areas as they began the process of recovery.

“The result is an extended diary of nature’s struggle for regeneration as testified through the cycle of seasons,” says the Greek Ambassador. “Both man-made and natural, from the tragedy of destruction to the glory of new growth and life, but also the fragility of regeneration”.

The series not only shows the devastation that was caused to the land and the people, but also aims to highlight the importance of nature and the environment. In line with this, Central Embassy is also hosting an array of other activities to help raise funds for the Central Group Loves the Earth foundation.

Head to the second floor to shop for eco-friendly products, where every B1,500 spent in this zone will earn you a free Central Love the Earth bag. On the same floor, you’ll find an organic, healthy salad stand by GEB Organic Farm, where if you spend more than B1,000 on weekends through Jul 10, you’ll receive a plant to grow at home.

Ontop of that, the fifth floor of the mall will be home to an array of eco-friendly workshops, running four times a day (12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm) for one-hour sessions on Jul 7-10. These workshops will all be accompanied by live music and will run by donation, with proceeds going to the Central Group Loves the Earth Foundation.

Through Jul 10. Central Embassy, 1031 Phloen Chit Rd., 02-119-7777. BTS Phloen Chit
